Dry needling

Dry needling is used to treat trigger points. A thin needle is used without medication (dry = dry; without the addition of medication) to precisely insert into the hard, tension-causing cord responsible for the current symptoms.

The goal is to relieve spasms and improve blood circulation there. This reduces the local inflammatory response. Dry needling is used in sports physiotherapy, in the treatment of pain syndromes, and in rehabilitation after accidents or surgeries. It can also be used to support recovery after intensive training sessions.
